Artistry should always come first, but a broad stock of good tools often makes it easier to be an artist. Having a variety of tools and an extensive good library of copyright-clean images and sounds in house increases the artistic options we can bring to your project. A partial list of these tools is included on this page.

We were one of the original development sites for After Effects, who we continue to work closely with. We also regularly perform consulting, testing, and development work for a variety of tool makers including Adobe, Artbeats, Blackmagic/Decklink, Apple Computer, Getty Images, Maxon Computer, Autodesk, and many others. Hardware

We use Apple Power Mac G5 computers, typically with 1 Gig or more of RAM in the main workstations and rendering engines. Most of the workstations have flatscreen monitors for reduced radiation (we prefer the Apple Cinema displays – the sharpest, truest we have found).

For editing, we use Apple Final Cut Pro. For capture and layoff, and as extensions to our After Effects workstations, we use the Blackmagic Design DeckLink 10-bit uncompressed video cards, plus AJA 10-bit SDI/analog converters. We have over a terabyte of storage in house.

Video formats supported in-house include BetaSP, DVCPro, DVCAM, DV, and S-VHS tape formats, plus Exabyte and DLT tape formats. For still image captures, we use a Canon EOS 10D digital SLR.
